This stretch of the coastline is home to several superb marinas. The closest are the fabulous ports of Sotogrande and La Duquesa with their shops, bars, restaurants, supermarkets and nightlife.

Close to Amenities

Manilva is perfectly situated, just twenty-five minutes from the prestigious shops and characterful old centre of Marbella. En-route is the world famous Puerto Banus with its top quality restaurants, exclusive boutiques and sizzling nightlife.

Due west is the delightful town of Estepona with its attractive old town, wonderful beaches and intriguing old-fashioned shops.

All are sufficiently close to explore the restaurants and varied nightlife without having to worry about a long drive home.

Experience the Moorish grandeur of Granada’s Alhambra palace and the castanets clicking spirit of Seville: both cities are less than three hours drive away. Or spend the morning under the beach umbrella – and the afternoon on the ski slopes in the magical Sierra Nevada or perhaps a special day at the races.

Scubadiving – The nearest centre is the Happy Divers Club at the Atalaya Park Hotel between Estepona and Marbella

Horseriding – Lessons and hacks can be arranged at the ‘Escuela de Arte Ecuestre’ in Estepona and also at the Equestrian Centre at the San Roque Club de Golf. Why not play golf while the children ride! You can also ride on the beach at Tarifa!

Polo - There's nowhere better to see a game than the famous Rio grounds, dubbed the 'Wimbledon of polo pitches’ in Sotogrande.

Waterskiing – ‘Cable Ski Marbella’ in San Pedro is great for learning to waterski or for those wanting to improve. The cable system pulls skiers around a lake and can be set at different speeds for children and beginners.

Dolphin and whale watching - The Bay and Straits of Gibraltar have a large population of Dolphins and Whales. There are boat trips from La Linea, Gibraltar and Tarifa where you can see dolphins bow-riding alongside the boats.

Windsurfing – Take a trip to Tarifa for the best windsurfing and kiting but Alcaidesa and La Linea also offer many watersports.

North Africa – Take a day trip to Tangier (Morocco) from Gibraltar, Algeciras or Tarifa, or stay overnight. Hunt and haggle for bargains in the souk and colourful bazaars.
